Duties of the Horizontal-Vertical Transfer, Exemption, Adaptation and Internship Commission
- The commission is formed by the dean and begins its work with the approval of the faculty board. The Dean chairs the Commission when necessary.
- It evaluates the situation of students who register with horizontal/vertical transfer, amnesty and special student status; determines the courses they will be exempt from and the courses they are required to take and prepares their individual education plans.
- Examines the courses for which exemption is requested; carries out the adaptation procedures and determines the equivalents of equivalent courses and performs grade conversions.
- Reports decisions regarding transition and adaptation procedures to be submitted to the faculty board of directors.
- Creates and executes the department application principles and reports the needs encountered in these processes to the department head.
- It meets at the beginning of each semester or whenever necessary to make decisions on relevant issues and keeps a record of these decisions.
- Coordinates the adaptation processes of students coming from student exchange programs.
- Plans the internship activities of faculty students; determines the internship principles and informs students about the internship locations, form and duration.
- At the end of the internship, the internship notebooks and forms are evaluated in advance and the reports are submitted to the dean's office.
- Monitors the development of students by maintaining communication with the institutions where they do their internship.
- The Commission meets at least twice a year; decisions regarding the meetings are recorded in minutes and summary information is published on the website.
- Members continue their duties until a new appointment is made; those who leave are replaced by a new appointment made by the dean's office.
- Members are required to attend meetings, and those who do not attend without a valid excuse will be subject to evaluation.
