Duties of the Academic and Appointment Criteria Evaluation Commission
- The Academic and Appointment Criteria Evaluation Commission and its members are formed by the dean and carry out their activities after the approval of the board of directors.
- The Commission is responsible and authorized to examine the application files sent for appointment in terms of their compliance with the Law on appointment, Regulations and criteria accepted by the Senate and approved by the Council of Higher Education.
- The Academic and Appointment Criteria Evaluation Commission reviews the application files for compliance with appointment criteria solely in terms of form and does not assess their scientific content.
- When it comes to changing the criteria for promotion and appointment to the Faculty Membership, the person may express his/her opinion on the proposals to be made to the Senate, if requested.
- The Academic and Appointment Criteria Evaluation Commission determines whether the applicant meets the requirements of Law No. 2547, as well as other relevant Laws and Regulations, regarding the requested position.
- The Academic and Appointment Criteria Evaluation Commission determines whether the file submitted by the candidate complies with the University criteria accepted by the Senate and approved by the Council of Higher Education.
- During the file review phase, opinions may be requested from a higher unit for issues that cannot be decided.
- The commission meets at least twice a year; the decisions taken at the meetings are recorded in minutes and summary information is published on the faculty website.
- Commission members continue their duties until a new appointment is made. A new appointment is made by the Dean's Office in place of a member who leaves for any reason.
- Members are required to attend meetings, and those who do not attend without a valid excuse will be subject to evaluation.
