Duties of the Public Relations Commission
- The commission is formed by the dean and begins its work with the approval of the board of directors. The Dean chairs the Commission when necessary.
- It organizes seminars, panels, workshops and training programs to raise public awareness on issues such as animal health, zoonotic diseases, animal welfare, food safety and environmental health.
- It organizes social responsibility events that introduce veterinary medicine to primary and high school students and encourage their love of animals.
- It shares the scientific, educational and social activities of the faculty with the public; produces and updates promotional content through media, social media and the web.
- In cooperation with local governments, it develops projects on issues such as the care, adoption and sterilization of stray animals.
- It contributes to social services by supporting applications such as mobile clinics, vaccination and education campaigns in rural areas.
- It responds quickly and solution-oriented to suggestions and applications from the public.
- Increases university-public interaction through open door days, public meetings and media programs.
- Encourages faculty academics to share their expert opinions with the public through the media.
- Produces promotional materials (brochures, posters, videos, logos, presentations, etc.), ensures that they are compatible with the faculty's corporate identity, and monitors their use.
- Supports social responsibility projects of student communities; encourages students to participate in voluntary veterinary activities.
- It carries out joint projects focused on contributing to society with municipalities, public institutions, non-governmental organizations and the private sector.
- It implements protocols that make the faculty's activities visible to the public; it regularly reports these activities and shares them with the university administration.
- The Commission meets at least twice a year; meeting decisions are recorded in minutes and summary information is published on the website.
- Members continue their duties until a new appointment is made; those who leave are replaced by new appointments made by the dean's office.
- Members are required to attend meetings, and those who do not attend without a valid excuse will be subject to evaluation.
