The 6th International Poultry Congress, organized by the World Poultry Scientific Association (WPSA) Turkey Chapter, commenced at Fırat University.

The first day's program of the congress, held in the Prof. Dr. Mustafa Temizer Conference Hall of our university, was attended by Fırat University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. İrfan Kaygusuz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmut Doğru, World Poultry Scientific Association President Dr. Michèle Tixier-Boichard, WPSA Turkey Chapter President Prof. Dr. Rüveyde Akbay, General Manager of Middle East Agriculture and Food Publishers Ghassan Sayegh, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Fırat University and WPSA Turkey Chapter General Secretary Prof. Dr. Kazım Şahin, as well as numerous academics, sector representatives, researchers, and students.

The congress, organized under the main theme of "Digitalization and Health in International Poultry Production," included... Scientists and industry representatives from Canada, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, and Turkey came together.

On the first day of the congress, current topics such as digital transformation in poultry production, artificial intelligence applications, big data systems, digital health surveillance, and sustainable production models were discussed.

In his opening speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Kazım Şahin, stated that technological developments are reshaping the poultry production sector, and that in a modern production approach, not only efficiency but also animal welfare, human health, and environmental sustainability should be considered together.

At the end of the first day's program, plaques were presented to the participants.

On the second day of the congress, sessions will be held to discuss current scientific studies on sustainable poultry production, the One Health approach, environmental impacts, and human health.
