Happy "27 April World Veterinarians Day"

On the occasion of World Veterinarians' Day, it is a great honour for me to celebrate not only veterinarians in our country, but all veterinarians worldwide. Veterinary medicine is an essential discipline in the health ecosystem and I would like to emphasise the vital links between animal health, human health and environmental health under the One Health approach. This holistic approach shows how complex and intertwined health problems are and demonstrates the importance of the veterinary profession in this broader context. As veterinarians, we not only protect the health of animals; we also play critical roles in issues that directly affect human health, such as zoonotic disease prevention, food safety and public health. Environmental health, protection of ecosystems and sustainability are also an integral part of our work. On this special day, we congratulate all veterinarians for their passion and dedication to our profession and their efforts to make our world a healthier place. We are confident that this big family, of which we are all a part, will continue to move forward in line with the One Health Concept. Veterinarians will always be at the forefront with their efforts to protect the health of animals as well as humans and the entire ecosystem. Let's continue to work for a healthier world together.
