The ‘Dede Korkut Science, Culture, Art and Sports Awards’ ceremony, hosted by Bayburt University and held as an event honouring the names who have achieved remarkable achievements throughout the country, found its owners for the 7th time. At the ceremony, four people who showed outstanding success in science, culture, art and sports categories were presented their awards.

At the award ceremony held in Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall, the Science category award was presented to our Dean Prof. Dr. Kazim Şahin for his groundbreaking scientific studies/projects in the field of nutrition and nutrition-related diseases, which are among the most important sustainable development problems of our age, and his institutional contributions to the development of science awareness in our country. Bayburt Deputy Governor Cem Gümrükçü, Bayburt Chief Public Prosecutor Huzeyfe Yücedağ, Bayburt University Rector Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, Rector of Bayburt University Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, Rector of Artvin Çoruh University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sıtkı Bilgin, Rector of Erzurum Technical University Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Rector of Gümüşhane University Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Zeybek and institutional chiefs, academicians, students and members of the press attended the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Kazim Şahin presented the conference titled ‘Secrets of Success in Science’.
