Swearing-in Ceremony

A swearing-in ceremony was held for the 49th term graduates of our faculty.

Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Bilal Üstündağ, Dean Prof. Dr. Kazım Şahin, President of Elazığ Regional Chamber of Veterinarians Cazim Bulut, academicians, students and parents attended the swearing-in ceremony held at Atatürk Cultural Centre.

Our Dean Prof. Dr. Kazım Şahin made the opening speech of the ceremony. He talked about the history and importance of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and congratulated the graduating students.

Cazim Bulut, President of Elazığ Chamber of Veterinary Physicians, emphasised the importance of veterinary medicine.

Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, Rector of our University, stated that they are proud of the history of Fırat University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, one of the first veterinary faculties in the history of the Republic, and underlined that veterinary medicine is not only about animal health but also about public and environmental health. Prof. Dr. Göktaş said ‘I congratulate all our graduates and wish them health and happiness in their future lives’.

TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker congratulated the graduates and wished them continued success. The first, second and third place students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine were awarded with prizes. At the end of the ceremony, graduating students took oath.
