Celebrated the 182nd Anniversary of Turkish Veterinary Education

The 182nd Anniversary of Turkish Veterinary Education was celebrated with a ceremony held at our Faculty. The ceremony held at the Prof. Dr. Mustafa Temizer Conference Hall was attended by our University Vice President Prof. Dr. Mehmet YILMAZ, our Dean Prof. Dr. Kazım ŞAHİN, Veterinary Chamber President Cazım BULUT, Faculty Deans, academicians, students and many guests.

Speaking at the opening of the program, our Dean Prof. Dr. Kazım ŞAHİN stated that Veterinary Medicine not only protects animal health, but also has a critical role in issues such as food safety and quality, public health and biodiversity, and maintaining ecological balance.

Speaking at the ceremony, our University Vice President Prof. Dr. Mehmet YILMAZ said that Fırat University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is a faculty with both national and international accreditation.

In the program, Veterinary Chamber President Cazım BULUT also made a speech and stated the meaning and importance of the day.

The program ended with the speech of our Faculty graduate, former YÖK Member, former OMU Rector and OMU University Faculty of Medicine Academician Prof. Dr. Sait BİLGİÇ and the presentation of awards to the winners of the milk race organized by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
