“Biosafety and Risk Management” Conference Held at Fırat University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
Fırat University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine added a new one to its scientific activities and hosted a conference titled “Biosafety and Risk Management” for academics and students. The conference was held by Biosafety and Biosecurity Association Board of Directors Chair and Marmara University faculty member Prof. Dr. Ayşen Gargılı Keleş.
This important event attracted great attention with the participation of faculty members and many students. A wide range of information was provided at the conference, starting from the basic principles of biosafety and biosecurity to modern risk management strategies. Prof. Dr. Gargılı Keleş emphasized that biosafety is of vital importance, especially in veterinary sciences, and drew attention to the necessity of measures to be implemented and awareness to be increased in this field.

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Ayşen Gargılı Keleş stated that deficiencies in biosafety can seriously affect not only animal health but also human health and the environment. She also made recommendations to the participants on implementing individual and institutional biosafety measures.
